Clearing the Shelves

We started de-junking and selling stuff months ago.  Now that we are down to crunch time, I just want the stuff we don't want moved out of my house.  At the same time I hate throwing stuff away when they could actually be used.  That means we've been having a little fun.

We had the Hatch's over to break our last pinata.  Surprisingly, they were able to do it with just the wimpy plastic bats.  We just cycled through the kids.  Each got 3 swings.  It was pretty awesome.  The pinata that has been sitting around for the last month is gone and so is a bunch of candy from my cupboard.  The only ones I didn't  throw into the mix were some mini Reese's.  I think Ryan and I can manage those.

I also had some jars of dipping chocolate and some open bags of Wilton candy melts so I picked up some pretzels and let the kids do some dipping.  After we finished the pretzel rods, I just had them splatter it over a bunch of spread out pretzels.  They thought it was awesome.  If I'd been thinking more I would have tried to turn the red into orange so it could be for Halloween.  Instead it just looks like Christmas came early.
