Kherington had her first Tball game this morning. It was amusing to say the least. They don't follow normal rules at all. They start with a mini devotional, then set a 50 minute timer for the game. They bat the entire lineup, no one gets out, the last person in the lineup runs all the bases and that is the end of their at bat. For fielding, they lineup by the pitchers mound in groups of 4 and field the ball. Most often the kids are tackling each other to get the ball. Kherington did get it once, but that was just because two other little boys collided. She stepped over them and scooped it up.
At her first at bat, she tripped on her way to first and landed right on the white line. She had only a slight meltdown, but I went out and talked to her then we ran the rest of the bases together.

Kherington's Birthday Date
Ryan will be gone for Kherington's birthday, so he took her on a date to celebrate. They went to Nickel Mania. Kherington was so excited about all her loot. They said while they were there, they found a full cup of nickels that someone had left at one of the games. They took it to the front desk and since they were honest, they gave them an additional cup of nickels. Honest really does pay off.

Kevin Turns 4!
Kevin started his birthday off on an awesome note. He ran downstairs and found his fort setup for him. In reality he wanted swing set fort, but since that wasn't realistic know that we are moving I made this little fort instead. He also go to open one present in the morning and it was a rope! He loved it.
When we were leaving, the kids spotted some frogs and a swimming pool. Or what they thought was a pool. Then when they found it was shallow they had a blast running through it.
Kevin picked Chick-fil-a for dinner.
At home we had his cake. I tried another new recipe. This one was a quinoa chocolate cake. It looked (and tasted) awesome, but when I served it up, both the kids turned it down. I think we are going to need to figure out something new for birthday treats.
Kevin finished opening his presents. From us, he got a play broom and Purdue pajamas that match his daddy. He thought it was a pretty awesome birthday.

Pre Birthday Activities
We attempted to head to the trampoline park for Kevin's birthday activity (I am a huge fan of a birthday activity instead of a party), but when we got there it was closed so they could install new equipment. It would have been nice if they had updated this on their website. Instead we headed to the playground. Since we're moving and these two will no long be able to spend all their time together, I made sure to take lots of pictures. Aren't they the cutest?

Daddy's Week Off
Ryan took a full week of work before leaving for Camas. After working 80 hour weeks which included weekends since January, the kids thought it was awesome. Kevin didn't leave his side the entire week. One of my favorite activities I happened to see was them chilling on the couch watching all the past "One Shining Moment" episodes. Kevin loves them just as much as his daddy.
And since Ryan was around, I got some time to myself to build a pup tent for Kevin's birthday. It didn't take very long and I would do it differently if I did it again, but here is the completed frame.

Late April Fools Joke
I went to peels some eggs for Kherington's lunch this morning and found my kids had decided they needed to dye more eggs so they helped themselves to raw ones from the fridge. Wasn't expecting that. I started tapping the egg to crack it and it started dripping. Luckily I had the frying pan on hand and could still use the egg for breakfast.

Easter 2015
Easter weekend, we finally got around to dying eggs while Ryan was at Priesthood Session of General Conference. I went the easy route this year and got the dye kit. The kids thought it was awesome.
Sunday morning, I came downstairs to Ryan the kids making breakfast together...on the kitchen floor. I guess that is easier than getting stools for everyone.
Ryan helped the kids make cars to watch General Conference in. I have made cars before, but his were way cooler than what I ever did. They had an actual hole in the top instead of just an open box, a steering wheel, headlights and a back window. With a pillow at the bottom they were pretty comfy for the kids.
We enjoyed Easter dinner with the Parente's and finished off the night singing to Becca and Kevin for their birthday.
