Ryan's 28

Well, actually he has been 28 for almost a month, but since his birthday was on the first day of our cruise we never did our official celebration. Happy birthday is one of Kherington's favorite songs so she was happy to sing to her daddy. Ryan opted for a carrot cake as his birthday cake...so healthy of him :).

Art Group Activities

Some of our recent activities from art group
Marble Painting:
Squeeze little globs of paint onto paper in a box, add some marbles and let the kids tilt the box to move the marbles around.

Collages:
Glue feathers, paper and other objects onto paper
Coloring and sticking leaves onto contact paper

Painting:
Pretty self explanatory :)

Chilling:
Two other mom's at art group had a 2nd child about the same time I had Kevin so there are kids his age for him to chill with too!

Protect your food

Kevin can get where he wants to go pretty quick even though he is not yet doing a traditional crawl. He's got a really good roll and tummy pivot going on. In addition to this, he is very very attracted to anything we are eating or drinking.

This combined with Kherington putting all her snacks into bowls and lining them up on the floor doesn't quite work. I've only been able to document the pictures below. Kherington doesn't like sharing (especially ice cream/chocolate) but unless she learns to protect her food and put it on the table or chair, there's no stopping Kevin.

On a happier note (somewhat), Kherington does like helping Kevin eat his food. I left his food on the counter and went to go put laundry in the washer. In the few minutes I was gone, Kherington decided to be a "helper".

And finally...Kherington is somewhat obsessed with desitin (and medicine for that matter). She asks for us to put it on all the time. She found this is one of my bags while I was showering and helped herself.
