Egg Hunt #2

Our second egg hunt was out in Flower Mound.  We had done this hunt last year and loved it.  It was small enough that you could actually enjoy wandering around, but large enough to add excitement to the egg hunt.  We split the kids up onto their correct fields so I only have pictures of Kherington.  I do think it's funny that parent feel the need to go on the field and help their 6 year old pick up eggs.  Come one, we all know they are old enough to do it themselves.  Just let them go have fun.

Right after the hunt, we hurried over to the line to pet the rabbits.  The kids were pretty timid and only spent a could minutes in the corral.  Most people left soon after the hunt so the kids could walk right up to the inflatables instead of standing in line.  Perfect.
They do an adults only hunt also.  Ryan did it last year and the eggs were empty except for the prize eggs so I figured it would be the same this year.  I headed over without a bag or anything and found they had filled eggs and other treats spread across the field.  While I didn't get  prize egg, the kids did enjoy the rice crispy treats, sour gummy strips, and crackers.  Jonathan loved his suckers.  On our way back to the car, we found the mascot rabbits open for pictures.
When we got home, Jonathan enjoyed helping his daddy with some paper work.

Batter Batter

Kherington had her first Tball practice today.  I signed her up through the First Baptist Church of Carrolton's sports program since we've heard good things and it is cheap ($60 for the season including the uniform).  For some reason if I am around, she acts super shy, but if she is on her own she acts normal.  So instead of staying and helping I went over the playground with the kids and watch at a distance.  That was until it was her turn to bat and they tried lining her up as a righty.  They had to switch her grip around and her swing was super  awkward.  I ran over and told them she was a lefty and her swing got instantly better.  Although after being corrected one way, she is a little mixed up as to how to line up correctly.  She'll get it though.  She is one of (if not the) oldest on the team but is the shortest.

Baby Shower Leftovers

I went to Erin Parente's baby shower last night and came home with some delicious leftover strawberry cupcakes and white chocolate dipped marshmallows.  The kids thought the treats not only looked cool but tasted delicious.

I thought Jonathan and Hannah were the cutest sharing and eating their cupcakes.

Hair Cut Time

Kevin's hair was getting a little long.  I like it long so I didn't want to clipper it too short, but I am way to cheap to pay to have a 3 year olds hair cut, so I cut his hair with scissor.  I don't love it, but figure it will grow out and I can try again.

Doctor's Check-up

I called to get the older kids well check doctors appointments and mentioned that I couldn't remember when their last appointments were.  They told me January and I thought that wasn't too long ago...then they clarified that it was January a of the previous year.  Not as awesome.

On the drive to the appointment, the kids were fighting over who was going first.  I finally convinced Kherington to let Kevin go first since he was getting shots.  Kevin was super excited to be at the doctor, but even more excited to be first (no knowing shots were coming his way).  Then when the doctor came in she said he had to be 4 (not almost 4) to get the shots and they should have told me that on the phone.  Kind of frustrating.  On the bright side, Jonathan has his appointment a day after Kevin's birthday so he could get them then.  Kherington was super shy when it was her turn.

Kevin's Stats: Ht - 40 inches (50%), Wt - 37 pounds (50%)
Kherington's Stats:Ht - 42.5 inches (15%), Wt - 42 pounds (50%)

Not even 9am...life with toddlers

Fun times with a toddler. Pretty sure we have been going through toilet paper twice as fast lately.  And let's not forget about toddlers and marker. We only do washables in this house.
