Ward Christmas Breakfast

We had our Ward Christmas breakfast this weekend.  I am on the Relief Society Committee (we put on the breakfast) and was in charge of the food for it.  I think it went pretty well.  We spent the evening before the breakfast decorating the gym.  We couldn't start until late because there was another ward's party.  I wish I had taken a picture of the decorations.  It looked awesome.

In the morning Santa and Mrs. Claus were available for pictures.  There is a professional photographer in our ward that took them.  The backdrop looked great when we were there, but the pictures turned out even better.  I'm not sure we will ever get a better Santa picture.

Mom's Go to School

I got to go with Kherington to class one morning.  This is the first time I had heard the Texas Pledge or whatever it is called.  I think it is really weird and surprising that they recite it everyday.  Aside from that I love her teacher's teaching style.  We did a little craft with the kids.  Her teacher came around with paper for the kids hair and when she got to Kherington, she said she had forgot Kherington's color but would come back with a red or orange.  Kherington responded that he hair was red and it need to be red paper.

Kevin

What a handsome little man this one is.  Kevin is too smart for his own good (well, really for my good) most of the time.  He tries hard to live up to the annoying little brother title, but at the same time I watch it and just see how much he loves his big sister.  He is extremely hard to photograph because he like to be a goofball and purposely squint or make faces.  He loves Purdue.  He loves to be outside.  I decided to buy a suit for him since Kherington always has new cute dresses.  It was pretty tough to get him to try it on, but doesn't he look cute in it?  We will see if he actually ever wears it.  At least if he doesn't we still have hope of Jonathan getting some use out of it.

Little Monster

Jonathan loves his siblings, but doesn't like being ignored.  It was hard to keep him away from Kevin.

Jonathan also loves cupboards.

Small Business Saturday

We love celebrating AMEX's Small Business Saturday and were super excited that this year you could use it 3 times for each card (so get $30 back per card).  We went to Going Bonker's with David & Erin and let the kids climb all over the place.  It is a huge indoor jungle gym place.  At one point Kherington came to us in tears because she lost her bracelet.  Ryan went to help her look for it but had no luck.  About an hour later I went with her to look for it.  It wasn't until then that she told me she was in a certain place when it dropped.  That would have been a huge help for Ryan.  She show me the place, we looked down and there it was sitting next to one of the slide.

Next we went to Costa Vida.  I think this will be our last visit here.  It just isn't as good as the Cafe Rio I remember.  I can make a copy cat version that tastes better then what we had there.  We also went to Moo-yah's for some shakes.  It was pretty comical watching the person make it.  I would guess he was new.  He made the shake overfill and spill all over the machine (his co-workers did not think it was a funny as we did).

To finish off our last $10 we took the kids to the dollar store and let them pick out a couple items.

All in all it made for a fun and nearly free family day.
