Kherington and the Booksale

The British Store (Stonemanor) hold two English booksales per year (usually June and September). People donate their English books then they sell them for 1 Euro per centimeter. This is an AWESOME deal to get a lot of books especially children's books. We came home with a ton of books including princess, sesame street, trains and a couple mystery authors for met to try out. Kherington loves her books and keeps asking to go back to the booksale...we'll definitely be hitting it up again in September (plus it's on a Saturday instead of Sunday like most other events in Belgium).

*Stonemanor also has had Ben & Jerry's ice cream on sale so we've gone through more of it than I care to admit...half baked is our all-time favorite

A couple other funny things about Kherington:
(1) she likes to trade plates/seats at dinner...the picture shows her taking Ryan's penne pasta except this time she wouldn't let him eat her plate (she loves this dish...noodles, italian sausage and roasted peppers)
(2) she love baths and has recently figured out how to control the water...she especially loves bubble baths and is creative with making the bubbles...she decided to use the rest of my US bodywash one of the time (not so happy about that)

(3) When she goes to sleep at night she typically strips herself (everything including the diaper is off). Occasionally she tries to redress herself...this last time she ended up with only her pj shorts on with both the legs through the same hole :)
(4) Naps have become overrated so instead she's been crashing in different locations mid-activity

(5) Short Story - Kherington has recently decided that she doesn't want to take naps so instead we've been having quiet time where mommy is off limits. She found a chewy bar (thanks lani!) in the stroller and wanted me to open it but I told her mommy was on break. Less then a minute later I turn around to see her asleep next to it in only her underwear (she like to pull all my clothes out of my drawer and try them on which is why she's not wearing anything except underwear). Anyways, I was tired so I took kevin and decided to go lay down in my be. A little while later I hear her, but I'm pretty groggy so it doesn't quite register. She comes into the room, doesn't see me and climbs up on the stroller still calling my name then runs out. By the time it hit me that I needed to get up since she was awake, I came out to find her asleep again on the ground. I am pretty sure she thought I left her b/c she was super clingy when she woke up.

Kevin's Baby Blessing

Kevin got blessed today at church. We were originally going to bless him the last Sunday in May (first Sunday in June was Stake Conference so fast Sunday was a week early). Our ward has classes first then ends with Sacrament meeting. Classes went fine, then while we were singing the opening hymn Kherington turns and throws up all down the front of Ryan. Hmmm...not the best thing ever. We threw a blanket over them and Ryan left while I hurried to gather everything so we could leave. So back to today, there was no throw-up, instead Kherington was really bad and I ended up taking her out during the blessing. Oh, the joys of kids :).
