Sunday's On My Own

We had stake conference today which meant 2 hours of trying to keep 3 kids quiet and listening to the speakers.  The first hour went really good.  It helped that Jonathan slept for about half of it.  The second hour was rough.  I ended up taking Jonathan out in the halls for awhile and when I came back in the first thing Kevin said was, "Kherington hit me."  I looked at Kherington and her response was, "I didn't hit him...that hard."

In the afternoon we went on a family bike ride to the park.  When we got to the park, I hadn't even finished putting our bikes up and I looked over to find Jonathan sitting in the only puddle.  After that I figured I might as well let him enjoy it.

The kids are getting pretty good on their bikes. I stayed at the playground with Jonathan and they started riding the loop around the park (I can see them the whole time). At the bottom of the hill, Kevin stopped.  Then Kherington went down and stopped too.  They were working things out (I couldn't tell exactly what was happening) then all of the sudden I see Kevin start running and hoping up and down.  I asked another lady to watch Jonathan and rode over to them to find his bike was stuck in a pile of mile (he decided to try to go through the deep part instead of around) and then had stepped in a red ant hill.  His shoes was still in the hill and covered with ants.  I managed to fished it out with a stick and get all the ants off, but he already had a couple bites on his feet.  I was pretty impressed that he didn't cry about it though.  We just headed home and I put some bleach on them (I heard somewhere that works, I guess we'll see).  Just a couple weeks left.  I hope we don't have anymore red ant encounters.

Back at home, I hosed Jonathan off and then put him in the bath.  We did dinner after bath which ended up being a bad idea.  He once again out ate all of us and ended up ready for round 2 of baths.  We finished the day with s'mores roasting on the stove.
