Life with Jonathan keeps getting better. He has finally hit the 6 month mark! He has been sleeping in the pack and play in the playroom and taking naps in the crib in the kids room. It is amazing how much happier a quality sleep can make a baby. He can go midnight to 6am which is improvement. The only problem is that if he does wake up between those hours for the night feeding I just do it and put him back down instead of holding out. I need to get better with that. I still haven't tried to give him formula, but he takes a bottle every day of my milk while at he Y. I started trying harder to give him solids, but I tried a mixture of oatmeal and applesauce and his bum went bright red. I had given him oatmeal before so I figured it was the applesauce. I waited until I thought it had cleared up and tried just oatmeal and it turned bright red again. Well, at his doctors appointment, I learned it was actually due to a yeast infection and timing was probably just coincidental. Even though they told me that, I still don't plan on giving him applesauce or oatmeal anytime soon.
He still rolls around a lot, but hasn't showed any desired to crawl or scoot. He loves to be held. He is sitting if we help him out (as in he no longer just folds in half). I still can't tell what his hair is going to do. When the sun catches it it looks red, but if you just look at him it looks more brown.
He is still a pretty proportionate, but dropped from the 20% to the 10% in most measurements.
