Reading as a Family Reward

We've been reading the Book of Mormon (the kids picture book one) and promised the kids we'd take them out to pizza when we finished. Well, we finished this week so we planned to go out Friday. Kherington has been begging us to take her to the pizzeria on the corner where Dana and Guillaume took them when they were visiting so that was the plan. It was open, we went in and sat down and noticed a major problem for the pizzeria...there was no pizza on the menu. When we asked if they had a pizza menu they said they weren't serving pizza because the pizza guy was on vacation for 3 weeks. Yeah, that's Europe for you. We ended up leaving and heading to the Colruyt to buy some frozen pizza.

The kids decided they wanted to go to different pizzeria instead of waiting for the pizza guy to return, so Saturday we walked to one at Meiser that Ryan and I had been to and liked. Ryan order his normal (a calzone) and I wanted to try one that had lettuce on top. I had seen it there before so I asked the guy and came to the conclusion it was probably the vegetarian pizza. Wrong. Aside from the crust which was delicious, this was not a good pizza. It was just crust, sauce, and a pile of mixed vegges. There wasn't even cheese on it. Plus there are some veggies that don't belong on pizza like peas, green beans and baby corn. Those were all there. I guess we'll have to go again so I can get my lettuce pizza. The kids enjoyed their pizza and the waiter was friendly and even brought them little shot glasses for their water (as opposed to the wine glasses). My veggie eating little girl also enjoyed picking the veggies off my plate.
