Brussels Christmas Market

The night before leaving for the States, we decided to head down to the Brussels Christmas market.  This is the first year we've been to it.

The Grand Place had an abstract Christmas tree and large Nativity, then we wandered the streets lined with booths attempting to avoid the huge puddles until we found one of the food areas. We shared a bratwurst (not very good especially in comparison to the ones in Germany), frites (at Kherington's request) and pomme beignet (apple donuts...tried at the recommendation of another customer...he actually was in town on business from NYC and would be on our same flight the next morning).

It was cold and pouring rain AND we parked on the wrong side of town (the market isn't at the center of town as we expected) so we only saw half the market before calling it quits.
