A Recap of the End of '08 and the Beginning of '09

While we haven't blogged in quite sometime, we have been busy over the last few months with enjoying the holiday break and getting back into the swing of life. First, we spent our holiday break up in Seattle this year. As depicted from the picture below, the Seattle weather ended up being the weather we were trying to get away from----SNOW!!!! Despite our very packed and slow drive to and from Seattle, the break was a blast!!!

We ended up spending time with almost everyone in Erin's family for the holidays. Some activities included playing basketball at the church, playing snow football, giving the homeless sack lunches, the botanical gardens in Bellevue, a tour of the Boeing Factory, going out for Maggianos, Thai, Chinese, and even for the new Costco hotdogs available only in Washington, a couple of movies (Bedtime Stories & Marley and Me), and just tons more food, games, and memories made. While I can write a ton about the events, I think the pictures help show how much fun we had.

As we have begun to get back into the swing of things, we have enjoyed this time to especially prepare ourselves for the big event in our lives occurring in only three months. It is amazing how times flies by fast. I'm currently in my last semester at BYU and have an light load compared to most semesters. Erin is getting back into the swing of things with work.

We have still made sometime to continue both of our hobbies. Regarding Erin's love for cooking, we made some delicious ribeyes over the past weekend with twice baked potatoes, some excellent fruit smoothies and orange juice with our new Blendtec blender, and have even decided to venture out in making our own bread---starting with cinammon swirl for french toast. Regarding my love for college basketball, we have been able to watch many games, especially since football season has wind down. The main ones of course of the Purdue Boilermakers.

And finally, here is the long awaited picture of the "baby bump".

Man, I wish we could have been there for Christmas with everybody...it was lonely here. Your trip looked like you had so much fun!
Erin, that's not much of a bump! (I look like the GoodYear Blimp.) How are you feeling these days?

I love the belly. Don't worry. You'll be able to sleep on your back/ tummy again some day.

p.s. where can I get an industrial sized container of Nutella, like yours?
