Daddy's Week Off

Ryan took a full week of work before leaving for Camas.  After working 80 hour weeks which included weekends since January, the kids thought it was awesome.  Kevin didn't leave his side the entire week.  One of my favorite activities I happened to see was them chilling on the couch watching all the past "One Shining Moment" episodes.  Kevin loves them just as much as his daddy.

And since Ryan was around, I got some time to myself to build a pup tent for Kevin's birthday.  It didn't take very long and I would do it differently if I did it again, but here is the completed frame.

Jonathan just continued to putter and get into one thing after another.  No difference here except it was pretty sweet to have another adult home to help clean up messes.

Late April Fools Joke

I went to peels some eggs for Kherington's lunch this morning and found my kids had decided they needed to dye more eggs so they helped themselves to raw ones from the fridge. Wasn't expecting that.  I started tapping the egg to crack it and it started dripping.  Luckily I had the frying pan on hand and could still use the egg for breakfast.

Easter 2015

Easter weekend, we finally got around to dying eggs while Ryan was at Priesthood Session of General Conference.  I went the easy route this year and got the dye kit.  The kids thought it was awesome.

Sunday morning, I came downstairs to Ryan the kids making breakfast together...on the kitchen floor.  I guess that is easier than getting stools for everyone.

When the kids found their Easter baskets they were pretty excited, but one again picked apart what they liked and didn't like.  They were not a fan of nutter butters, peeps, and cotton candy (and no jelly beans since I already knew they didn't like those).  The biggest hit was the mini chips ahoy cookies that were in Jonathan's basket.
Ryan helped the kids make cars to watch General Conference in.   I have made cars before, but his were way cooler than what I ever did.  They had an actual hole in the top instead of just an open box, a steering wheel, headlights and a back window.  With a pillow at the bottom they were pretty comfy for the kids.
We enjoyed Easter dinner with the Parente's and finished off the night singing to Becca and Kevin for their birthday.

Time with Dad

Ryan took the kids to the Home Depot kids work shop this morning.  They love spending time when him and happening on extras while they are out make it that much better.

Home Workout

Days when we are stuck at home with sick kids, are hard.  Mainly because I don't get my alone time for my workouts.  Today was one of those days, so I broke out some of our new workout equipment.  I like the Y better, but at least I can get a similar workout when kiddos aren't feeling well.

Jon Bon

Jonathan is continues to get into things.  Anything down at his level or at a level he can easily climb to is fair game.  The worst though is the liquid.  We mainly drink water, but after the doctor told me my kids needed more dairy (and since they don't care for regular milk) they have been drinking lots of chocolate milk.  It is a horrible sticky mess to clean up.

The other day, I ran upstairs to change the laundry and was gone for all of 2 minutes.  When I came down the stairs I found Jonathan here asleep.  Tired boy.

Tuesday Folders

Every Tuesday, I go to Kherington's school to file the kids paper work then stuff folders with announcements and papers.  There is an extra room near the classroom that I do it in so I can bring Kevin and Jonathan with me.  When I first started, Jonathan was young enough he would just sit and quietly play.  Now he is in to everything, so I have gotten a little creative in blocking off access to different areas of the room.  Here is trying to get through my blockade.
