Maastricht and Aachen Christmas Markets

For mom's last day in Belgium, we decided to go to visit a couple Christmas Markets. We started with the Maastricht Netherlands market. It was pretty small.  The highlight here was definitely the apricot filled donut type thing...except way better than a normal filled donut.  It also had a toboggan run, but with how wet and rainy it was that wasn't going to happen (I think it was 5 euros pp for unlimited runs).
Next up was Aachen, Germany's market.  I've been to this one before but it is amazing every time.  Not only is it very picturesque, but I love that each of the booth have unique items.  It seems like Germany markets in gerneral have a wider variety of booth, more handmade items and the best bratwurst.  I got some tokens for the kids to ride the merry go round thinking they'd ride once then and again right before we left, but Kevin didn't want to got initially.  Then it was so freezing the kids wanted to go straight in the car instead of stopping for a ride (we did detour for some frites which Kherington say heated her right up).
