Koffords Visit

We got to have Ryan's Aunt, Uncle and cousin visit for a couple days on their way home from picking up Elder Kofford (aka the other baby kevin) from his mission in Portugal. I married into an awesome family. Their stay was short, but we had a great time. They flew in Saturday evening and we just chilled and chatted that night which was fun (ah yes, adult conversation).
Sunday was Ryan's first Sunday in Bishopric, so it was nice to have some help with the kids during Sacrament meeting.  They handed out red roses for Mother's day and we had picked up from the Market the previous day (for now Ryan's actually still Elders Quorum president too and they were in charge of it).

After church on we went up to Brugge. For some reason there were tons of people there which was shocking because it was Sunday. It was a beautiful day (especially in comparison to recent weather) so maybe that had something to do with it. We did the Rick Steves walking tour which I had done before, but it was Ryan's first time so that was good. The only downer of the trip was that our free parking place right outside the train station now cost 20 euros (so not just not free, but expensive)...really not the biggest deal since the normal garage is only 70 cents an hour.
Apparently in addition to being Mother's day, it was also Kids day in Belgium and there was an air bag (aka accordion) concert in one of the square in Brugge.  While there, Ryan ran into the bathroom to snap a quick picture for Uncle Dave :).  Ah good times!  We love having family visit because you end up with some pretty funny stories.
Monday we woke up extra early to get out the door to Keukenhof. When we got there the sun was just starting to warm things up, BUT it the wind was blowing and kept us pretty cold.  I ended up stealing Ryan's jacket.  Kherington, on the other hand, refused to keep her jacket on.  We split up and Ryan and I wandered a little, took the the kids to the petting zoo and the park before meeting up again and finished off the trip.
Playground - We did wander around an look at flowers, but truth be told a majority of our time here was spent at the playground.  The kids had a blast.
Kevin - As a walking little man he was all over the place.  It's a game to him.  He does not like to hold hands (neither did Kherington though so not a hug surprise there).  He was more interested in the petting zoo than Kherington was, but the animals kept moving away from him.
Kherington - Any guess on her favorite color?  I asked her to find her favorite flower and she of course found PINK ones...then a pink counter and a pink chair.  *Notice the picture at the bottom with her hand down her pants...that and nose picking are her new favorite things to do that I'm not sure what to do about.
Next up was the chocolate outlet and guess what? They had the chocolate hearts in the bulk section which I haven't seen since we moved here. Yummy!

The kids LOVED 'the other baby Kevin.' He totally humored them, chased them around the backyard, read stories to them. When I was putting Kherington to bed she asked if he could pick her up from school the next day. Ryan went downtown with them while I got kids ready and in bed for the night.

We had an awesome time and are hoping more people will decide to come visit us :).
