Our apartment contract is up mid September, so when we go home from Myrtle Beach, my focus was finding a place to live. We had the option of staying and going month to month in the apartment, but the rent was going to go up so much it wasn't worth it. Both the buying and rental markets here are hot so things good quick and if it doesn't go quick it is a pretty good indication that you don't want it anyways. We looked at a couple place in Coppell, but they weren't what we wanted. Our criteria was pretty basic: at least 3 bedroom/2 bath, large yard, no pool, min 1500 sq footage, elementary school ranked at least a 7, and within 15 minutes of the Y.
There was a house posted Wednesday night with no pictures but it sounded nice. I was watching kids all day Thursday and our realtor was out of town so I didn't see it until Friday. I saw it around 11am, talked to Ryan and we had the application in by that evening. We learned there was already another application in so we ended up sweetening the pot a little and the landlord choose us. We signed the contract Sunday morning. Whew.
I am super excited about the place. We can move in Sept 1st. It is 4 bed/2.5 bath with a huge yard and garage. Everything else met our criteria.
