New Apartment

We got the keys to our new apartment at 4pm and had to be out of our temporary place by midnight.  In reality, Ryan did 99% of the packing/moving.  When we moved in, I found tiny ants in the kitchen, staples scattered around the carpet and the electric burns on the stove didn't fit in the new bowls on the stove.  Not exactly the best welcome, but we'll make it work. 

Monday I went and bought a vacuum from Costco.  After reading the reviews, I went with the Shark which is a fraction of the cost of a Dyson and after vacuuming the entire apartment I think it was pretty good decision.  The picture below is just from one bedroom and is how full it was after vacuuming each room.  It was gross. 

The apartment is pretty empty.  We borrowed a queen blow-up mattress, 2 sleeping bags, a folding card table, a folding kid table, a pot, a cookie sheet and 2 sharp knives from Aunt Cindy.  I didn't want to borrow a lot of stuff since I am hoping to get my own stuff and I don't want to have to return a lot when I do get it.  At the same time, having next to nothing gets a little old.  I am super excited to get our bed sometime soon.
