Kherington est de deux ans!

Kherington's Day Recap:
Kherington woke up at 3am this morning, flipped on the lights (grandma and grandpa are currently sharing her room), got off her bed and started knocking on the door asking for mom and dad. Ryan went and got her and she came to our room and slept for a couple more hours before getting up for good at 7am.

She came out to the front room and found a table of wrapped presents and a motorcycle just like the one her friend Alex has. She kept pointing at it and saying Alex's name, but we convinced her it was for her and she hopped on and started riding around the house. After a meltdown getting her clothes on (like we have every morning), she dragged Ryan and Uncle Cory both out the door in their pajamas to the park!

She got to ride the bus all the way downtown and pick out a doll from the toy store (okay truth be told Ryan and I picked it out a couple weeks ago but didn't buy it because we didn't want to have to cart it around at the time).

Kherington got hungry before dinner was ready, so she ended up having shredded cheese and chips for dinner round 1. Then we had her 'cake' which was actually a trifle (pudding, cookie crumbs, pound cake, cool whip and gummy candy). For dinner (round 2 for her) we had spanish rice, ground beef, beans and chips. She decided she wanted to sleep in Grandpa's bed and have her pile of books. She must have had an awesome day because below is how we found her.

Kherington's Personality:

• She is a VERY independent little girl...everything has to be done on her terms at her time (or else there is a meltdown...we have lots of meltdowns). She won't even let us lift her into or out of the bathtub (if we do, she gets back and in or out and does it herself)
• She loves her friends and asks for them over and over and over again
• She can turn the lights on by herself so each night we go in, move her back to her bed and turn off the lights
• She loves to play outside and can walk to the park all by herself
• We put her to bed with milk each night (I know we should do that, but it works)
• She still loves her bears (Rainbow Bear has become Bruce) and now loves her baby dolls also
• Her favorite movies (and in this order) are Toy Story, Cars, Curious George, Elmo...she also always asks for Princess, but it doesn't really hold her attention
• She LOVES princesses and recognizes Belle
• She will try any type of food and currently loves Spanish rice, ground beef, chicken, broccoli, oranges (sliced not peeled), peppers, cheese (shredded) and cucumber (a whole peeled chunks NOT wedges)
• She HATES getting dressed or undressed
• She realizes that Kevin has to go somewhere if she want us to do something, so she tells us who should hold him or where we should lay him down if she wants the person currently holding him to do something with her :)
